Are you using our Debit Card?

Credit union members can now use a credit union debit card. This allows members to pay for goods in shops or on-line. The card can also be used to draw out cash from cashpoint machines for a small fee.

Credit Union members “charge up” their debit card from their regular credit union account; one way of doing this is through a regular standing order. This means a member doesn’t have to go to the credit union offices to draw out cash, and of course carrying around a card reduces the risks of losing money.

The card is like an electronic wallet, you can only spend as much as is held on the card, which makes budgeting easier.

The credit union has ordered 100 cards, and members wanting to have a debit card can contact the credit union office to find out more.
